Terminology

1. "Let's see what you can get up to in two minutes."
















Dream machine- takes people in and out of dreams. Can exist in dreams as well.

Projections- images or people from the sleepers' subconscious. Can pose a threat to anyone in the dream. Sometimes trained as "dream security".

Subject OR Mark- the target of Extraction or Inception.

Architect- designs the levels and reaches them to the dreamers. Can also join a team inside.

Dreamer- Participants of the dream, often populate it with their subconscious.

Kick- the sensation of falling, can snap one out of the dream.

Limbo- raw unconstructed dream space, constructed by whoever is sharing the dream.

Extraction- stealing an idea from the subject's mind.

Inception- planting an idea in the subject's mind.

Totem- small object, designed to tell someone if they are in someone else's dream.

Sedative- used to keep a team under long enough to perform Extraction or Inception.

Mr. Charles- Persona of the Extractor, used to alert the Mark he is dreaming and convince him that Mr. Charles is a projection designed to defend him. Helps turn the subject against his defenses.
